Message of Hon’ble Raksha Mantri

Border Roads Organisation (BRO), true to its motto ‘Shramena Sarvam Sadhyam’, continues to be a cornerstone in India’s strategic infrastructure landscape. Through its relentless efforts in the harshest weathers, treacherous terrains, & extreme high altitudes, BRO works undeterred to build critical border infrastructure and to drive socio-economic development in the remotest border regions, thereby revitalising these frontier communities in the ‘First Villages’.

BRO has proved itself as the ‘Go-To’ agency for key ministries such as the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and Ministry of External Affairs for delivering critical infrastructure in some of the most challenging regions. Construction of Indo-Myanmar Border (IMB) fencing and strategic connectivity through Indo-China Border Roads (ICBRs) along the Northern borders exemplifies the vital role played by BRO. Projects like the Sela Tunnel, Saser Brangsa Bridger, Mudh Nyoma Airfield, Shinkhun La Tunnel and the Arunachal Frontier Highway further highlight the strategic foresight and engineering excellence of BRO.

Focussed attention & policy directives by the Government enabled BRO to undertake robust capacity development measures, and launch special recruitment drives to make up for staff deficiencies. BRO is also leveraging latest technologies, resulting in a surge in the achievement of physical targets and budget expenditure. Simultaneously, BRO has implemented welfare measures for both its personnel and Casual Paid Labourers, who form an integral part of the workforce, acknowledging their steadfast contributions in the most demanding conditions.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation and best wishes to all members of BRO and their families on BRO Day. May the Organisation continue to rise to greater heights and illuminate the path of National progress with renewed vigour, in line with the Government’s vision of “Surakshit Seemayein, Sashakt Bharat; Surakshit Seemayein, Samriddha Bharat.”

Jai Hind! Jai BRO!!
